North Myrtle Beach Hidden Gems

Every city or town has off-the-beaten-path activities and attractions that sometimes fly under the radar. In North Myrtle Beach, there are several hidden gems we believe are worthy of your time during your vacation at Peppertree By the Sea. Explore our list of hidden gem destinations below!

1. Heritage Shores Nature Preserve

Developed in 2007, Heritage Shores Nature Preserve is set along seven acres of walking paths nestled within an island marsh ecosystem. The preserve features nature trails that meander along and over the saltwater marsh via wooden boardwalks and native soil primitive walk paths. The area is a haven for wildlife, as you’re apt to spot a range of species including pelicans and Blue Herons. You’ll find a couple of picnic facilities onsite, so bring a lunch for a lovely nature-filled day out in North Myrtle Beach. Just be sure to clean up after yourself and follow the Leave No Trace principles, so this important preserve can continue to serve as a refuge for local plant and animal species.

2. La Belle Amie Vineyard

Locally owned and operated, La Belle Amie Vineyard is located in Little River, fewer than five miles away from Peppertree By the Sea. The first of La Belle Amie’s three vineyards was planted in 1995, and since then, this hidden gem has provided plenty of wine and entertainment for locals and visitors alike. The vineyard offers daily specials and hosts many fun events throughout the year. Enjoy wine tastings and live music Tuesdays through Fridays (and most Saturdays), all in a beautiful setting just minutes from the ocean.
